Stephen Stanford

Supervising Immigration Attorney

Stephen Stanford serves as the Supervising Immigration Attorney at Rozas, where he leads with compassion, strategy, and a deep sense of purpose. With over a decade of legal experience, Stephen focuses on immigration law, particularly asylum, humanitarian relief, and removal defense. He helps clients navigate some of the most difficult and life-changing moments of their lives. He approaches every case with a simple but powerful philosophy: every person deserves to be heard, and every story deserves to be told with dignity.

Originally from Welsh, Louisiana, Stephen earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University. While in law school, he distinguished himself as a strong oral and written advocate, winning the Tullis Moot Court competition and earning multiple brief-writing awards, including Best Brief and recognition in national moot court contests. Before transitioning to immigration law, Stephen began his career in public defense, representing clients in both the 19th and 16th Judicial Districts of Louisiana. He also interned with the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, gaining critical insight into the judicial decision-making process.

Stephen’s motivation is rooted in helping others and recognizing the immense trust that clients place in their legal team. At Rozas, he considers it a privilege to guide clients through stories of hardship, hope, and resilience. For Stephen, the most meaningful part of the job is giving voice to people who often feel silenced by the system and ensuring their stories are heard by those who hold power over their future.
