Michelle Andrepont is a criminal law attorney with more than 31 years of experience as a public defender, including more than five years as the District Public Defender in Caddo Parish in Shreveport.
She began practicing law in 1992 and has dedicated her career to criminal defense and constitutional criminal procedure. Michelle earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans.
Decades of Public Defense Experience
Michelle’s career has been shaped by a deep interest in the Constitution and constitutional criminal procedure. She knew from a young age that she wanted to become an attorney and ultimately found her professional calling in criminal defense.
Her more than three decades of public defense experience have given her extensive exposure to the challenges faced by people navigating the criminal justice system.
Criminal Defense and Constitutional Advocacy
Michelle is particularly proud of obtaining not-guilty verdicts in both her first and last jury trials as a public defender, with additional not-guilty verdicts throughout her career.
Her experience includes serving as District Public Defender in Caddo Parish, where she represented individuals facing criminal charges in the Shreveport area.

Outside the Office
Michelle enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dogs. Her interests include reading, camping, kayaking, fishing, golf, gardening, cooking, crafting, and finding treasures at garage sales and thrift stores.
