Samantha Wilkins is a family law attorney at Rozas Law Firm who helps individuals and families navigate some of the most personal and challenging legal situations they may face. Originally from Prairieville, Louisiana, Samantha is a first-generation attorney who brings significant courtroom and litigation experience to her family law practice.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in Pre-Law with a minor in Psychology, and received her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2019.

Courtroom Experience and Family Law Advocacy

Samantha began her legal career at the Public Defender’s Office, where she handled misdemeanor and felony criminal cases and developed extensive courtroom experience. She later practiced private criminal defense, further strengthening her trial and advocacy skills.

That experience now informs her family law practice, particularly when cases require strong courtroom representation and careful advocacy.

Samantha has successfully represented clients in numerous high-stakes and time-sensitive matters. She has never lost a TRO hearing and recently secured a favorable outcome in a grandparent guardianship matter.

She has also obtained temporary sole custody through an ex parte hearing for a mother with serious concerns regarding the safety of her children.

In her criminal defense practice, Samantha negotiated a plea agreement resulting in no jail time for a client facing a mandatory five-year minimum sentence.

Outside the Office

Samantha is a wife and mother of two. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and spending weekends at the lake.
