My name is Jasmine Journet. I have been an attorney since 2019, marking this my 4th year as an attorney. Before becoming an attorney, I interned at the Innocence Project of New Orleans and the New Orleans City Attorney's Office. I began my legal career as a Public Defender with the East Baton Rouge Parish Public Defender's Office. There, I was part of the bond unit where I argued for lower bonds and offered mitigating arguments for those who were newly incarcerated in the last 24 hours. I now practice immigration law, where I am still able to help the vulnerable with little to no voice.
